I want to chase the dimming sunlight and trap it in a bottle, ☀︎
before it disappears into the winter’s greyness.
Does anyone else want to catch the drifting wind and,
play with the gentle raindrops of this season? ☔︎
Soothing is what I would call Autumn.
Cozy she is!
This time of the year, she retreats into herself,
to shed, refresh, and recuperate. ✤
Spreading an effervescent tranquility and,
leaving a pacifying hum in the air and on all our trails.
All the while, showing off her brilliant colours. 🍁
Ugh! I am so jealous!
Grateful to be here, to feel this way, and to witness this time of the year—
Once more! ☻
Witches of the earth dancing around the fire,
baking love into their pumpkin-laced potions and cookies.🍪
I see people trying to bring some colour into their homes,
in an attempt to replicate her.
She drops so much yellow, orange, and red on our paths,
asking us to slow down, 🧘🏽♀️
Showing us how to let go and rest a bit. 🛀🏻
Reminding us that we too go through cycles!
In my culture, we celebrate the feminine this time of the year—
In all her glory! ♥️
And it is obvious to me why.
Because she is Autumn!
Cozy like a subtly candle-lit room, 🕯️
The warmth that reaches us from the sun piercing through that thick morning fog, ⛅️
Healing like a nourishing bowl of soup, 🍲
Creative, playful and decorative with colours, flowers, and whatnot, 🎨
And brave,
Brave enough to die a thousand times and come back to life wholly!
